The Ultimate Fighter (2005 ) The Ultimate Fighter is a reality TV show where 16 contestants live together and battle each other for a pair of Ultimate Fighting Championship contracts. The UFC is divided into five weight classes, Heavyweights, Light Heavyweights, Middleweights, Welterweights and Lightweights. In the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, there are 8 Light Heavyweights and 8 Middleweights, with four of each trained by two legendary UFC competitors Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell. Willa Ford hosts the reality challenge segments that help determine who fights who to stay in the competition.
Redemption is the name of the game in the landmark 25th season of "The Ultimate Figher," FS1's highest rated original series. At stake in the tournament composed of 14 welterweights -- all former cast members -- is a UFC contract and a $250,000 prize, the largest cash payment in the show's history. Bantamweight world champion Cody Garbrandt and top contender TJ Dillashaw coach the contestants and then face each other for Garbrandt's 135-pound title after the season concludes. In line with previous "TUF" editions, the competitors live and train together in Las Vegas as they prepare for the fights, a single-elimination process that determines the champion. The cast includes two former winners of the show -- Joe Stevenson on Season 2 and Eddie Gordon on Season 19.
